The Crucial Role of Writing and Editing in Your Success
Effective writing is the single most important skill a marketer can have (and we are ALL marketers), yet very few non-writers master it.
Most solopreneurs, small business owners and internet marketers try to handle writing on their own, only to learn the hard way how difficult it is to write copy that compels the reader to whip out their credit cards, set up a consultation or register for an event.
Writing today as a means of reaching your target audience goes far beyond brochures, informational Web pages and corporate bios.
The fact is, if you're not actively using social media, you'll be left behind in the new economy. It is an essential tool for building brand awareness and lasting relationships with customers - and letting young people even know you exist.
As a radio show host, I read dozens of books a year by potential guests. It's fascinating to me that so many self-published authors (which constitute most authors today) don't invest in a good editor.
I can spot a poorly edited book a mile away - all to save a few bucks on the front end.
A well-edited book can get you a publisher! A poorly edited book will end up in the trash bin in three pages or less - no matter how good your idea is. And a poorly edited e-mail or Web page gives a bad first impression - and we all know how important a first impression is.
Your time is best spent doing what you do best. Imagine what you and your staff could accomplish if your time was freed up to use your talents their fullest and fulfill your mission.
I'd be honored if you'd take a look at some of the projects I've worked on and see how I can help you reach your goals.
Thanks for stopping by. Feel free to set up a no-cost consultation.
